Summary/Abstract: This article highlights three essential elements of information processes specific to military action: approaching the information cycle as a process, the “intelligence” process and cycle, as well as ISTAR concept. The information cycle can be considered a process because it contains a succession of operations through which it gains supplementary value by transforming data and information into "intelligence" products.
