Summary/Abstract: The text should be treated as a voice in the discussion around the concept of E. Erikson and in the light of this interpretation of Versus by Witkowski. Starting from philosophical considerations the author attempts to present the ideas of Erikson and their textbook interpretations. On the one hand, it enables him to bring about an understanding of the complexity of the human condition to Erikson’s model. On the other, which is not without importance for the further development of pedagogical thinking and action in Poland, it demonstrates the need for a deeper concern about the quality of references to Erikson’s concept in its various ranges.
