Summary/Abstract: The article examines legal regulations and court verdicts which have formed the private law modelfor making damage claims for infringements of the competition law provisions of the MemberStates and of the European Union. The author discusses and evaluates legal instruments of Directive2014/104/EU on certain rules governing actions for damages under national law for infringementsof the competition law provisions of the Member States and of the European Union in the contextof problems this Directive strives to resolve with regard to shortcomings of those instruments.
