Summary/Abstract: Reflecting on chinese and japanese aesthetics: a contribution to the cross-cultural dialogue and collaborative conversation of comparative aesthetics Nevad Kahteran This article tries to provide a general introduction to the basic theories of Chinese and Japanese aesthetics, i.e. the fundamental facets of their aesthetics and culture, or to provide entrée to these traditions and their vocabulary, as well as the most commonly identified their historical periods. So, we can treat it as a certain contribution to the cross-cultural dialogue, or a certain collaborative conversation among them in comparism with Western aesthetical traditions through comparative aesthetics.
