“JOINT ISR” CONCEPT – PRESENT AND FUTURE

Summary/Abstract: Globalisation, industrialization and complex human aspects, factors that fundamentally influence new operational environment led to the extention of spectrum of threats and uncertainty in military conflicts. To cope with these factors of instability, it is necessary to obtain or maintain information superiority, advantage obtained through intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) activities and operations.In the current context of regional and global security, in NATO’s vision, a joint ISR system is vital for all military operations because such system can provide information and intelligence products to decision makers and performers, ensuring the conditions for making right decisions in a timely manner.
