SWOT ANALYSIS OF THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM FROM ROMANIAN POLICE ACADEMY

Summary/Abstract: Current paper is intended to provide an analysis of the educational system of Alexandru Ioan Cuza Police Academy. The main directions of this study are related to the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that are realted to this very sensitive environment. It is obvious that for every university - and in this case Romanian Police Academy is of no exception - there are multiple elements to concur in determining the efficiency, quality of educational act, degree of satisfaction for professors and students, development of the institution itself etc. From the point of view of Romanian Police Academy, there are multiple elements of a specificity related to the domain of Public Order and National Security in which this university is involved. From the point of view of strengths and opportunities, it is obvious that those are residing in the very specifics of the Internal Affairs domain, such as the isolated environment, the level of autonomy, the interest of the superior layers of the ministry for the final product of the Academy etc.; however there is a lot of pressure related to this institution from multiple point of view. Weaknesses and threats are not to be neglected from this study.
