Summary/Abstract: The article presents the problem of tolerance and its significance for social life. In modern culture, tolerance is perceived as one of the most desirable qualities of personality. In his deliberations the author reconciles the ideal of tolerance with a popular childhood poem by Julian Tuwim "Murzynek Bambo", which has lost its charm is and now arising extreme emotions. A detailed analysis of the individual fragments of the poem reveals stereotypes in the consideration of different races.
