Summary/Abstract: The article aims to identify a series of competencies and skills that all young graduates need to prove while applying for a job in public administration. The authors present a behavioural model for what is expected of a future leader, based on emotional and quantum or spiritual intelligences. These types of intelligences can be developed within formal, non-formal or informal education. The article presents a theoretical framework in order to relate types of intelligence with competencies, skills and behaviours of a future leader in public or private organizations, in a profit oriented environment. A literature review meant to define the human intelligence typologies, their skills, abilities, behavioural knowledge and competencies is followed by survey run online which uses a questionnaire measuring indicators such as: emotional quotation, communication, negotiation, mediation and leadership skills. These indicators are closely connected to human intelligences. The website www.negocieri.ro proved to be a useful open online self-development educational resource tool and provide us with the methodology used to obtain these metrics.
