Summary/Abstract: The paradigm of the earliest 21st Century evolution of the society has been changed due to the impact of the globalization effects of the knowledge society. Educational systems are directly affected, being directly involved in the evolution of two its major defining concepts: information technology and the education quality. Apparently unlinked, the two concepts are very strong correlated by their direct implication in the decisional level in education (methodological and legislative changes) and the very applicative level of in -class teaching using the new ICT environments The quality of the teaching-learning-assessment activities for the scientific curricular area topics is obviously decreasing, both at European and worldwide level, during the early years of the 21th Century. Historically, this period of time is known as the start of so called "Knowledge Based Society". The aim of the article is to identify the causes of the identified problem, in order to allow the design and the implementation of a coherent and consistent system of pedagogical methods, which could be selectively apply, accordingly to the teachers' didactic-profile. The concept of didactic - profile is a multifactor defined one, by extrinsic and intrinsic perequisites, i.e. overall school educational environment, combined with the teachers` formation and its subsequent ability in using new pedagogical methods, especially the ICT assisted ones. The overall expectation is not only to stop the deterioration of the of physics knowledge of the student who graduates the high school, but, further more to revive the quality of the didactic activity in physics. The main method used in the investigation was the use of ICT, both in physics - classes and in the optional science-classes within the School Decision Curriculum - SDC.
