THE MAIN TYPES OF ORGANISED CRIME

Summary/Abstract: Organized crime is an important problem of contemporary world and poses danger to security and democracy. In media’s transmissions we can hear of categories of crimes referred to as organized, which in Poland isn’t a new problem. It is important not only for its social meaning, but also because it concerns credibility of state authorities and the need of providing internal security of the state. The objective of this paper is to characterize this phenomenon and indicate its main genres.
