Summary/Abstract: In this paper, the author tried to link the data available from previously published sources on the waqf of the Bosnian administrator Isa-bey Isakovic, including his zawiya, with the information on it found in different Turkish archives of unrelated documents, largely ignored by the scientific community – at least in relation to this particular zawiya. One of the questions that motivated the research is the author’s reservation when it comes to the generally accepted attitude towards the link between this zawiya and the Mevlevi tariqat, as the text of the waqfname does not contain any reference to tariqat features of the zawiya. Namely, since the original 1462 waqfname was never found, the authors relied on its coppice and data contained in the tahrir defter volumes from 15th and 16th centuries, which contained notes on revenues and expenditures of the waqf. No archival sources were available from 17th and most of the 18th century, so an exploration of the history of this zawiya had to rely on several narrative sources. However, there are newly found documents from late 18th and early 19th centuries, with some of their content confirmed by Mula Mustafa Baseskija, in his Annals of Sarajevo. However, this historian of Sarajevo offers just some of the answers to questions related to the history of the Mevlevi zawiya n Sarajevo, its endowers and rebuilders, as well as Isa-bey’s waqf itself.
