The deduction using an experimental way of the natural slope of the sterile and practical matters masses situated in dumps and deposits

Summary/Abstract: The tackling of the calculation manner of the quantities of raw and sterile materials deposited or derelict, using geometrical methods (sand lump) leads imminently to alarming differences in the case of some technical- accounting administrations. The precise and in due time knowledge of the quantities of mining masses deposed into dumps and deposits, represents a compulsory requirement in the mining technological process. The current assessment of the volumes and, by this, of the quantities of mining mass, is done by topographical methods and their precision differs according to the equipment used and the conditions and age of the sediment. There are still different opinions at national and international level about the tolerances of precision at the evaluation of stocks and deposits. The present paper presents the practical elucidation of the aspect of the slope line form that could be take into consideration for the calculation of the deposited volumes ONLY by topographical methods, with consequences that can influence positively the precision of the determinations and assessments of the deposited mining masses.
