REGULATIONS ON ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTS

Summary/Abstract: Electronic commerce, document management systems and electronic archives have become a reality. The adoption of the Law on Electronic Commerce and Electronic Signature opened the door for the application of information technology. However, at the stage of deciding on the introduction of these technologies present are a number of issues that require clarification. Among them, special importance for us a question of revision of safety of archived documents. This term implies the impossibility of manipulating the document from the time of its filing to digitization, and the impossibility of manipulating the archived document. This procedure provides a safety inspection of application software, hardware components and storage media. Act on archival activity constitutes a sufficient legal framework for the implementation of measures of protection of archives, but does not regulate the necessary extent the issues of protection of electronic documents. Law on Electronic Commerce and Electronic Signatures in principle are elementary questions of protection of this documentation. Archiving of electronic documents is not subject to this law, but it is, nevertheless, in some way touched. This is a very important issue that should be precisely defined. It is more than clear that the Act on archival activity is to undergo changes that would regulate the legal issues of protection of electronic documents which are not regulated by the Law on Electronic Commerce and Electronic Signature.
