Summary/Abstract: As of 31 December 1945, Rzeszowskie Province was the district of the Tax Chamber in Rzeszów, where 17 tax offices, 3 tax offices of excise and public monopolies, 16 tax inspection areas, Regional Inspectorate for Tax Protection in Rzeszów with 3 Tax Protection Teams (in Rzeszów, Przemyśl and Sanok) used to operate. Meanwhile, the Tax Office which was subject to the authority and supervision of the Delegate of the Department of Treasury for customs matters operated in Przemyśl. This sort of organisational status was the result of efforts initiated at the end of 1944, when Rzeszowskie Province was established informally of areas which belonged to Lviv Province and Kraków Province before the war.
