The Subject with Preposition in the Romanian Language

Summary/Abstract: The paper aims at examining the situations of prepositional construction of the subject in Romanian. We will deconstruct both the apparent and the real exceptions. The article calls into question not only the status of the prepositional group of these constructions but also the functionality of the preposition in such structures. We will discuss the following aspects: the nominal with preposition found in the syntactic subject position, classes of words without a case that fulfill the syntactic function of subject built with prepositions; special attention will be paid to the atypical structures caused by imbrication.
