RESEARCH ON THE SECURITY CULTURE - PROLEGOMENA

Summary/Abstract: Security is based on consolidated values that operates in three dimensions. These are for a defined, personal entity or entity that is a specific social collectivity: mental dimension (spiritual and psychosocial), legal and organizational, and mental. A phenomenon, which has the most pluralistic structure, hence adequate to attributes (transdisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity) of the discipline of security studies is security culture. The phenomenon itself, which is described within the term security, is identified depending on the context as one of following concepts: state without danger, value, development process, development function , and finally – as specific social construct.
