Summary/Abstract: The apocryphon in question was created in Kiev in the 11th century in connection with the development of the veneration of Apostle Andrew and the theme of unifi cation of «all the Rhos». At the beginning of the 12th century it was included into the introductory part of the chronicle «The Tale of Bygone Years». This work mentions two apostles of the Slavs, Andrew and Paul, who were preaching in Illyricum, from where one of the groups of the Rhos moved to the Dniepr River no later than in the 8th century. This repеresentation refl ects the historical memory of the Kievan people regarding the migration of three maritime groups of the Rhos not only in the Black and Baltic Sea regions but also in the Adriatic.
