Summary/Abstract: In this paper I look into how certain teaching strategies (Causa 2002) work as genuine strategies of seduction, which are applied, gauged and directed by the FFL (French as a Foreign Language) teacher in order to attract, interest and charm the students. The analysis will refer to my own experience in the last four years as a professor at the University of Avignon, teaching MA students in the didactics of FFL. Based on this experience, I will show that within this concrete type of pedagogical interaction, the FFL teacher’s means of seduction refer both to the form and the contents of the course, depending on how (s)he manages to strike a clever balance between the two.
