Summary/Abstract: Romanian artists have a long history of experimentalism. Their hopes for more freedom of expression went up at the end of the Cold War, like they experienced it in the 1920's. But now they start to realize that new ways of regulation are coming up. Globalization and the post-modern hyper-space exert their influence on the present artists' creativity.
