Summary/Abstract: In 2013 the WSE has lagged far behind bourses in the developed markets. Confidence crisis on the New-Connect market makes it next to impossible for small enterprises listed there to collect external capital for development. The election of a new WSE president gives rise to hopes for a positive breakthrough in the management style and development prospects. The purchase of UTP should not be seen as a substitute for a development strategy.
