Summary/Abstract: The restrictive EU regulatory policy of environmental protection becomes an increasing obstacle for Polish energetic self-sufficiency. Inefficiency of the all-Poland railway company Przewozy Regionalne makes its owners – voivodeships create separate companies. Inefficient state owned Polish airlines have no chance of survival on highly competitive market of air transport. Massive competition as well as high costs of investments and licenses deteriorate financial soundness of telecommunication sector. As a result profits from telecom shares decrease, sometimes dividends are even suspended.
