Summary/Abstract: From mythology to celestial religions, cosmos is conceived of three parts. These are the sky where good gods are in, the earth where people live in and the underworld where bad gods and spirits are in. The sky is made up seven, nine or seventeen layers and it is vertical. The spirits in the earth are pretty good.The underworld is also composed of seven or nine layers. It is imaged sometimes vertical and sometimes horizontal. In Turkish thought these three cosmos images from the origin and the origin of myths to the monument is possible to encounter all kinds of text. Moreover, as a prose in folktlaes are highly rich in terms of the mythological elements that they carry. The relations of the heroes of the folktlaes with underground world and the sky occupy an important place within this richness. The hero receives a victory from the journey that he takes into the underground world and saves the people who are taken to the underground world in an unjust way.The article starting from this point and by giving examples Cyprus Turkish folktales will be evaluated from the point of these three cosmos images.
