Summary/Abstract: The author gives an overview of the results provided by the archaeological research on the Alba Iulia mint territory, during the time when there were discovered a series of artifacts related to the activity of mint. The importance of this paper relies in the fact that from the first researches of the mint until now there was not published a study to bring together the findings from the mint territory. The presentation of the main objects used by the clerks in the process of minting coins it is also useful for other scientists, as they were not published until now. Among the most representative tools there can be named the graphite crucibles (Pl. V) some of which are marked with the seals of the workshops where they were produced (Fig. 1), cast iron crucibles (Pl. VI/a), tongs for gripping crucibles (Pl. IV/a) and metal bars (Pl. IV/b), and two large stone blocks that were interpreted as presses holders (Pl. III). The most important finds date from 1986, when, among other artefacts there were discovered debris resulting from cutting coins from metal sheets (Fig. 2).
