Summary/Abstract: This article is devoted to the issue of literature written in Czech in Upper Hungary between the 16th century and the beginning of the 19th century (the common heritage of Czech and Slovak literature), Czech-Slovak cultural contacts and the subject matter of an interdisciplinary field which can be called Czech-Slovak Studies. The author bases the article on texts by Alexander Stich and attempts to draw attention to the tasks that Czech-Slovak Studies should and must solve and the potential overlaps between this field, Czech Studies and Slovak Studies.
