Sustainable development of construction enterprises and models for its assessment

Summary/Abstract: The issues connected with sustainable development can be identified as a relatively new scientific field. From the point of view of the individual enterprise it is particularly topical today, having in mind the replacement of the goals of the enterprise – considered until the last century to be „profit maximization“ and „maximization of shareholder value“ – with „increasing the value to all stakeholders“ and „ensuring sustainable development“. On the basis of generalization and analysis of principal theoretical formulations in the area of sustainable development there are revealed some of its peculiarities, there is studied the state of the construction sector in this country and are classified the indicators for its measurement. There are analysed existing approaches to the assessment of the sustainable development of construction enterprises and are designed and tested appropriate economic and mathematical models.
