Summary/Abstract: The study outlines the evolutionary character of the process of emerging and confirming the logistic approach in the firm management of the countries with developed market economies. It states the contiguous stages of its application in the context of the evolution of the logistic in the second half of 20th century. They are results of the action of many and different factors, discussed in many publications. The author shares the understanding that their better studying and systematizing establishes connections and dependences, which besides cognitive significance refers also to suggestions for determining policies, directions of action and management solutions for applying the logistic approach in the firm management. That is why the focus of the study is placed on the classification of the most important factors by certain criteria, and specifying their influence on applying the logistic approach. In synthesized form the paper presents the advantages of its use in the contemporary strongly competitive market conditions. The concrete manifestations of the impact of the contemporary concepts and methods, used in the management of the firms in the different countries, are outlined, for realizing the positive effects of introducing the logistic approach. In this connection the paper outlines also the increasing role of the time factor and its concrete influence on the realization of the advantages of the logistic approach in the firm management. In generalized form the paper states the standards of firm management, which should be applied to realize the advantages of using the logistic approach.
