Summary/Abstract: This short study is meant to present an overview of the gender equality issue in Romanian politics, starting from a quantitative analysis and using the statistics regarding women representation in Romania and in the Parliaments of EU member states. The authors also examine different approaches of the gender equality issue in Romania and the attempts that were made to address it.
