Summary/Abstract: In the last years of the second post-war period of Romanian historiography, the focus has shifted from an analysis within the temporary political borders and perspectives to a wider reflection about the Romanian phenomenon as such. In accordance with this shift the terminology has partially changed and questions regarding the emergence of the Romanian nation gathered momentum.
