Summary/Abstract: The development of information and communication technologies, especially the Internet, has led to drastic changes in all spheres of human life and work. Although some of these changes have very positive effects, others are extremely negative. One example of the latter is a new kind of terrorism and criminal activity which is based on the use of the non-indexed part of the Internet which is called dark Web. Generally positive features such as access to information about Internet users, anonymity and protection of personal data are used with the evil intention of acquiring illegal profit and spreading ethnic hatred and intolerance. This paper gives a brief overview of documented ways for accessing this part of web, and examples of abuses of its features
