Summary/Abstract: Evaluation is a requisite component of the didactic process, with important functions not only in relation to the process itself, but also for the two agents, the teacher and the student. To be relevant, evaluation should be objective and transparent. We should not forget that the student adjusts his learning methods and style according to the teacher's style of evaluation. Like teaching and learning, with which it forms an inextricable unit, evaluation is enabled by communication. The functioning of evaluation, the achievement of its goals and pedagogical functions largely depend on the characteristics of communication. The objectivity and transparence of evaluation are supported and complemented by an efficient didactic communication. We aimed to identify the extent to which the teacher effectively follows the requirements of didactic communication so that evaluation could properly perform its pedagogical functions. The ascertaining investigation carried out in the school environment was accompanied by a training program for the students who are studying to become teachers, a program focused on the issue of didactic communication.
