Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study was to examine several methods of strategic analysis which, as a result, contributed to the formulation of a general development strategy for medium-sized enterprises, companies from refrigeration appliances industry. Porter’s five forces analysis, strategic group map, key success factors of the sector, the growth-share matrix and the value chain analysis were used for the analysis. Each of the research tools has been related to operations of a company. Strategic potential of the analysed enterprise is very high, the company has a clear competitive advantage over other companies and a very good market standing, which will enable it to successfully implement the proposed strategy in the coming years. The analysis shows that the company has a high strategic potential and many development potentialities.
