Factors affecting the optimization of the process container storage warehouses logistics center

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of paper is analysis of factors that affect the storage at logistics center and development an algorithm of containers distribution between warehouses. The article highlights main trends in container handling at seaport and logistics center, that was created inside the seaport. The main trend is to create several types of logistics center warehouses: inside the port or outside port territory. The structure of logistics center storage facilities was proposed. The main factors that influence the distribution of containerized cargoes are: time factor, cost factor and additional terms that are specified in contract. As a result of factors analysis, the algorithm of different containers storage options was proposed.Thus, consideration of factors that influence the distribution of containers between storage areas will help to optimize containers handling. In particular - to reduce handling time, reduce the risk of delays and reduce the storage costs.
