Summary/Abstract: Zogović’s discussion entitled Njegoševa poema o borbi i slobodi, is as important as the text that summarizes the vital points of his explicit poetics, as well as the text that, even after more than half a century, can still be considered actualizing and polemical, as it still (paradoxically) is being constantly criticized. In accordance with the explicit poetic attitudes, Radovan Zogović in this way particularly contributed the declared positions on revaluation of tradition, on the basis of subjective and objective factors, but also the testimony of an imposed censorship and (mis) usage of the power by the institutional centers. In fact, Njegos’s poem about struggle and freedom can be read and interpreted as a text with a constantly pulsing metatextual position, because of the still current issues exsisting there - which in today's literature studies is the focal point of disagreement and arguing in the field of fundamental determinations, aimed at de /con / struction of the ethical, aesthetic, poetic categories, as well as the identity patterns, found not only in Gorski vijenac, but also in the entire opus of Njegoš.
