Summary/Abstract: Discovered on the duct of the motorway Orăştie-Sibiu, in the archaeological site of Cristian I (km 76+450 - 76+900), the sanctuary formed of ritual pit dating to Starcevo-Criş IA, indicated the attitude of the first Neolithic population towards the territory and the populations that were meet here. ‘The house of the dead” is built at the moment of leaving the sanctuary to mark the ceasing of its operation. The habitation (this article) is framed in the same type of architecture as the contemporary settlements located in the vicinity: Miercurea Sibiului-TWnş, Miercurea Sibiului II-Valea Gârbovei.
