Investment expansion of Polish companies in the Czech Republic

Summary/Abstract: The objective of this paper is to identify the trend in the investment activity of Polish companies in the Czech market and to evaluate this phenomenon. The research was carried out mainly on the basis of the analysis of statistical data, including data gathered by the National Bank of Poland, the Czech National Bank, and the Polish Central Statistical Office. Research shows that companies under the Polish capital control demonstrate greater interest in the Czech market than the ones under a foreign one. Horizontal, market-seeking oriented projects dominate among Polish investments in the Czech Republic. Polish investment projects developed in the Czech market can be classified as classic FDI
