Summary/Abstract: The constant changes in society, the new demands to the competence of an individual and the shift of educational paradigm requires from the educators to keep to a innovative approach: not the new knowledge is the target in the process of learning but the holistic competence of a child. These changes make impact on the mission of a primary school: it is the time to enable the learner for interactive and constructive, reflective and independent learning processes in developing competencies. Such changes seek for innovations in the curriculum. In order the educational innovations were effective the collaboration of all the school community groups is necessary (pupils included). Otherwise the implementation of innovations can grow as barriers and start destructive processes in the school. The research results showed that the processes of collaboration took part in schools when the primary school curriculum innovations were being implemented in case of introducing national curriculum innovations. Only in few cases the supposed collegial partnership was detected. The most intensive collaboration went on in the groups of pedagogues and the communities within classes.
