DREAM AND LITERATURE: THE COLLECTION OF POETIC VISIONS MIDNIGHT SUN BY VASKO POPA

Summary/Abstract: This paper is an attempt and another way to decipher the secret of poetic visions, as well as the motives that the collector and organizer had in mind for this collection. In this collection, poetic and prose texts describe the most diverse dreams of a man, people, poet, writer. What is initially set as a task is deciphered by the end of this paper. Review and analysis are completed by multiple motives schedule, but according to chronology of the collection. In the preface, Vasko Popa speaks about poets as artists who draw their strength from their dreams. According to his words, no material midnight sun exists and visits the spiritual world, it is created by poets who had streamed into the work and gave it form. Selection of texts by other authors he tried to corroborate his claims and show us their perception and attitudes about dreams of a midnight sun. This collection contains texts that are literary, historically, poetically very important. So not just words of artists and historians were explained but the words of nation too who cherish the cult of tradition. The magic box that Vasko Popa dreamed is opened.
