Summary/Abstract: Past studies on student press published until 1945 completely ignore journals edited and published by the students of diocesan and religious seminaries. The author proceeding in his research noted that there is a rich legacy in literature periodicals published up to 1945 by cleric students. So far more than 80 titles of magazines edited and published at the time by the young Polish seminary students have been discovered. Noteworthy is the seminary of Vilnius, where in the interwar period three titles were published: “Eos”, “Życie Eucharystyczne”, “Dzwonek Seminaryjny”. Preserved copies of the magazines show the conditions of their beginnings and the directions of their development. The articles, reports and chronicles published in them enrich – apart from literature – many other disciplines, mainly history, particularly the history of the Church and enriched the Polish cultural landscape. We find in them information about life in the Seminary in Vilnius and its student community as well as the attitude of the community to the general social issues related to culture.
