Summary/Abstract: In this study, we can see the leading characteristics and similarities in Korean Cumong and Uzbek Alpamish epic poems. It is said that the hero must be born in the lack of “the Other”, that is to say, with the need of the nation and people. It means that the situation make the hero born. The hero has been born to realize and come true the need of “the other”. The lack of the nation, people, or situation described as problems of family in the epic poems.
