Summary/Abstract: Mahmut II is also successful in archery and shooting along with his ruler identity. This could also be learnt -albeit partial- from poetry world of that time. History poems in collected poems of some poets such as Enderunlu Vâsıf, Keçecizâde İzzet Molla and Lady Leyla offer poetic materials on Mahmut II’s shooting.
