Summary/Abstract: A total of 45 skeletons (21 female and 24 male) found in the Early Bronze Age necropolis of Ostojićevo is analyzed in this paper. The aim of this study was to determine correlation between the prominence of the muscle attachments and individual age, and whether only the fibrous enthesis correlate with age. 23 enthesis on postcranial skeletons were observed. 3 types of changes on the bones were analyzed: robusticity, osteolytic and osteophytic formations and also 2 types of enthesis: fibrous and fibrous-cartilaginous enthesis. Scoring system of the muscle attachments was evaluated on a scale with 3 levels. Statistical analysis showed that older individuals of both sexes had more pronounced muscle attachments.Presence of osteophytic formation increases significantly with age. Osteophytic formations are present more frequently among the younger individuals. The claim that only the fibrous entheses correlate with age has not been confirmed.
