Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the contradictions between of supporters of Parliament and supporters of the King concerning royal prerogatives during the English Revolution of the XVII century. The author examines the types of extreme rights of kings, and the possibility of their implementation. Particular attention is paid to the views of John Spelmen as one of the brightest representatives of the constitutional royalism on the nature of the royal prerogative.
