Summary/Abstract: The author describes the fate of major Jan H. Żychoń, an officer of the Second Division of the General Staff of the Polish Army. In October 1939 he left for France from where in June 1940 he evacuated to Great Britain. In July 1940 mjr Żychoń was promoted to the head of the Intelligence Department of the Second Division that first and foremost focused on uncovering Germany.
