Summary/Abstract: The author describes an episode from the diplomatic activity of Stanisław Patek, a Polish envoy in Tokyo. Due to his contacts and talent, he managed to play a crucial role in the repatriation of Poles from Siberia and Manchuria in the beginning of the 1920s.
