Summary/Abstract: The article describes the methodological approach for evaluating investments in the regional infrastructure from the perspective of infrastructure marketing, which in contrast to the existing approaches allows to consider the development of infrastructural components of the region taking into account an appropriate strategy of territorial marketing as a driving or "binding" force of the competitiveness of the region and its investment attractiveness. The necessity of the use of the infrastructure marketing as a tool of strategic planning in the region is defined. The method of assessment of infrastructural components of the region is suggested; the method was tested on the materials of the Republic of Buryatia. The causal relationship between investments in infrastructure components and their impact on the socioeconomic situation of the region was also defined.
