Summary/Abstract: The Polish city of Gdańsk is well-known for the role it has played in history: the place where the Second World War broke out and the birthplace of Poland’s Solidarity movement. Lesser known, however, is the leading role the city is playing in Poland today in accepting and integrating immigrants.
