Approximate meaning of [Sacred] Text

Summary/Abstract: This essay presents three types of text in the Qur’an: texts about the invisible (gayb), historically oriented texts, and parables – mesel texts. It is difficult to suggest an easy way for understanding these texts, or for any real certainty that the meaning one arrives to is “the right one” or “the ultimate one”. What these texts speak of is not easily accessible to the human mind and it is sometimes simply beyond human experience. In some cases, the literal meaning of the text is not its intention at all. What these texts show is that there is a degree of uncertainty in relation to the meaning of all forms of Qur’anic text.
