Summary/Abstract: În contextul în care tendinţa europeană a învăţământul superior este aceea de a plasa centrul de greutate al procesului didactic pe elaborarea unui sistem complex şi cât mai funcţional axat pe student, este indispensabilă racordarea tuturor elementelor constitutive ale acestui proces la realitate, la spaţiul şi timpul curent. Acest proces devine, astfel, unul dinamic tocmai datorită deschiderii sale şi predispoziţiei de a primi, asimila sau reacţiona la tot ce înseamnă actual şi, totodată, nou. Universitatea de Artă şi Design din Cluj-Napoca, prin programul său didactic complex, asigură un cadru optim pentru dezvoltarea unui astfel de sistem deschis, pragmatic, racordat la parametrii valorici contemporani.Artiştii, se ştie, sunt printre primii care reacţionează ca şi „oglinzi” la tot ce se întâmplă în jur. Din punct de vedere pedagogic, acest aspect trebuie luat în considerare atât în momentul elaborării tematicii, dar mai cu seamă în faza de finalizare a proiectelor şcolare. În cazul disciplinelor Arta performance-ului şi Arta instalaţiilor, „scoaterea” lucrărilor de artă din perimetrul atelierului şi plasarea lor în spaţiul public este vitală. Astfel, spaţiul public devine extensia atelierului de lucru, devine, de fapt, un atelier de lucru deschis, un open-space în care publicul, componentă indispensabilă în cazul acestor modalităţi de expresie artistică, este menit să facă parte, involuntar, din procesul de învăţământ. Reacţiile „la cald” ale publicului sunt cele mai bune repere didactice pentru student şi, nu în ultimul rând, pentru cadru didactic. Procesul de predare-învăţare-evaluare devine, astfel, o experienţă reală în care termenii de specialitate devin reacţii, gesturi, interacţiuni, contemplări, expresie.Taking into account the European trend in higher education to shift the core of the educational process on the elaboration of a most intricate and functional system focused on students, it is indispensable to connect all the constitutive elements of this process to reality, to the current space and time. Thus this process becomes dynamic precisely due to its openness and its predisposition to receive, assimilate or react to everything which means up-to-date and new. Through its complex curricula, The University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca ensures an optimal framework for the development of such open, pragmatic system adjusted to present-day parametric values. As we know, artists are among the first who react as “mirrors” to everything happening around them. From a pedagogical point of view, this aspect has to be taken into account both when working out the curricula, but especially in the concluding phase of the educational projects. In the case of disciplines such as Performance Art and Installation Art, the „taking out” of artworks from the studio and their placement into public space are essential. Thus the public space becomes the extension of the studio, it becomes in fact an open atelier / studio, an open space in which the public, an indispensable constituent of such modalities of artistic expression, is meant to be, even unwillingly, part of the educational process. The instant reactions of the public are the best indicators for a student but also for the teacher. Thus the teaching, learning and evaluation process becomes a real experience in which the specific expressions become reactions, gestures, interactions, reflections, expression.
