Functional examination of the government departments with the example of The Kiev City Center of Folk Art and Cultural Researches

Summary/Abstract: The role of the centers of folk art in the formation cultural space of Ukraine is significant because the main objectives of the centers have cultural, organizational and methodological work aimed at conservation, revival and development of traditional, spiritual, and material culture of the Ukrainians, amateur art, folk festivals, customs, and decorative and applied art; organizational and methodological support of cultural institutions, recreation parks, primary specialized art schools, aimed at implementation of the state and regional programmes of the national-patriotic, aesthetic education, strengthening spirituality and strengthening moral foundations of society, supporting cultural initiatives of the civil society organizations and associations. The work of the centers is aimed at preservation, maintenance, and development of the historical, cultural and artistic phenomena inherent in the area where the center of folk art functions. Special attention is paid to organizational and creative work on the development of vocal and choral, musical, choreographic, theatrical gen-res, performed methodological support, coordination and direction of educational work of amateur teams of the regions.The main instrument of any reform is functional examination of the state bodies. Therefore, nowadays we have to understand which way we go and what should be done to improve the future. Consequently, it is required to explore the government authorities in terms of execution. This article has revealed functional studies of these government departments – the centers of folk art with the example of The Kiev City Center of Folk Art and Cultural Researches.
