Summary/Abstract: The author of the article focused on the analysis of the basic principles of substantive criminallaw, in which is built the concept of criminal liability. The principles collectively entitled asthe principles of criminal responsibility include the principle of responsibility only in the meaningof culpable illegal activities, the principle of natural persons responsibility, the principle ofnullum crimen sine lege and the principle of ne bis in idem. Characterized by nature of theprinciples, the author has pointed on their cognitive, application, interpretative and a legislativeimportance.
